# About Reviews MT2 | Melanotan 2 Research Digest

> Reviews MT2 is an independent editorial project that summarizes the peer-reviewed Melanotan 2 research literature. We are not a clinic and sell nothing.

An independent reading of the melanocortin research — what it is, and what it is not.

## What this site is

Reviews MT2 is an independent editorial project that publishes plain-English summaries of the peer-reviewed research literature on Melanotan 2. Our whole job is to read the pigmentation and melanocortin studies carefully and explain, patiently and accurately, what they actually found — and what they did not.

We are not a clinic. We do not employ clinicians, pharmacists, or any healthcare staff, and we do not provide medical advice. We do not manufacture, sell, or distribute any product. Everything here is editorial commentary on publicly available science.

## What the name means

The word 'Reviews' in our name describes what we do with the literature — we appraise and summarize the published studies — not a claim to review or recommend any product for sale. We take no position for or against using Melanotan 2. Where the evidence is strong, we say so plainly; where it is thin or where the documented harms are serious, we say that just as plainly. The goal is an honest reading, not a pitch.

## How we handle the evidence

We separate two things rigorously. Findings from published studies are cited to a specific source with a PubMed link. Effects that people report from real-world use are clearly labeled anecdotal, not clinical evidence, and kept apart from the cited science. We use only generic compound names, never brand names, and we never present a study dose as a recommendation.

Melanotan 2 is not approved for human use by any regulator. We treat it strictly as a research compound, and our coverage of its tanning, appetite, and sexual effects sits alongside an honest account of its documented risks. If a claim is not in the literature, we do not make it.

A patient walkthrough of the melanocortin pigmentation literature — a reading guide, not a clinic, a vendor, or a tanning product.
